Our client wanted to open up and update his traditional craftsman bungalow. The walls between the kitchen and living room were removed and double doors to the garden put in from the new kitchen. An extra bathroom was also squeezed into the centre of the house making a more room-mate and guest-friendly bathing arrangement. It was clad in the original pine planking from the demolished walls and stained a seductive dark finish. A palette of monochrome colors winds around the house rather than paint colors being organized by room.
