FURN_GOURD ENSEMBLE
GOURD ENSEMBLE // 2009
This birdhouse is inspired by the vernacular martin gourd houses of the rural South and is made from over 500 pieces of laser cut cardboard. Our next step is to try coating it in beeswax to waterproof it. It won first prize in the 2009 Hello Birdie! Fundraiser for an ambitious local charity, Uplift Austin.
