A new cultural center for Arlington integrates several organizations under one roof. The strategy allows visitors to identify the distinct organizations by color while creating a central public space which serves them all. Given the challenge of the existing 80s office building, our proposal called for a space that worked more like a park than a lobby. The furniture and layout lends itself to many different types of performance, activities and encounters.
